Introduction

Here is our HAB Youth blog. I'm hoping to get some interaction going within the youth group. This will be a place we can discuss our lessons, school, sports, or anything else you want to talk about. Let me know what you think.

We've been talking about the fruit of the Spirit on Wednesday nights. I've really enjoyed hearing your comments. I have a few questions for anyone who is interested in writing their thoughts.

How do you think our pride contributes to our impatience?

How do you think our culture contibutes to our lack of self control?

I look forward to hearing your responses.

Michael, I love what you've done with Wednesday nights. You have improved them so much and you always bring up new topics and ideas. I'm still working on my patience but it's coming along! Love ya!

The fruits of the spirit was a perfect subject to talk about as the first lesson on Wednesday nights. I have learned much from it that I have been improving on my patience. Thank you for going over this subject and I am looking forward to the next coming up
Wednesday nights.

Well, since no one else is posting anything on here, I'll just use this as my "I'm Bored" diary. Right now I'm in Softball class. I came to the library because my friend did and I have a Unit test tomorrow that I'm not ready for but I don't have any of my history stuff with me today. Tonight I have crew practice and a horse lesson so I will, once again, be pulling an all-nighter. Hopefully I'll be home before my friend goes to sleep because she already took the test and is going to help me study. I'm aiming for a C+ seeing as how when I aimed for a B I got a D and when I aimed for a C I got a C-. Anybody that reads this before tomorrow, It'd be cool if you prayed for me. I could be studying for the AP test but there's too many words and I'm in music mode. On another note, my bookbag is broken, officially this time. Before the zipper would just break open and I'd fix it but now it won't stay fixed, so that's going to be fun running down the street for crew. Anyway, I hope the wind dies down some because we really need to practice on water. We won 2nd and 3rd but our times were still pretty bad. Anyway, I'm gonna go attempt to study, so pray for me anyone that might see this! Love y'all!

Bummer about your backpack. Just be sure you give it a proper funeral and bury it in the backyard. Good luck on your test tomorrow. Study hard- see you tomorrow night.

For anybody that wants to come, City championships for crew are in, guess what?!, the city! I'm at church right now so I don't know the exact address, but if anyone wanted to come, that'd be cool.

Hey guys,
How has it been going?
I haven't been to Wednesday nights in a while because I have had flag football games every Wednesday night for the past few weeks. I really miss Wednesdays though. How did the Miami meeting go?
Are we on our way to another Great TML trip?
I CAN'T WAIT!
see you soon,
MORGAN

We need something new and exciting. Not the same routine we've been doing for forever. Some activity where everybody can come together as one.

HAB Youth said...

Good idea. We'll work on that. If you have any more specific ideas on how we can achieve that, please post them.

From Michelle: Who is Machiavelli? Michael, I'd just like to let you know that the lesson on Daniel today was awesome. You are the best sunday school teacher I think I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. You're the only one so far that knows what interests us and how to get us to connect. Thank you for coming to HAB. You and your family are awesome. Love ya! See ya Sunday.
Michelle
P.S. Any news on a house here in town? I'll keep lookin' and prayin' for y'all!

Machiavelli is anonymous, so I don't know who he or she is.
But thanks for the encouragement. I appreciate your words. We are definitely enjoying our time with you guys at HAB. We're still looking for a house- thanks for the prayers. See you soon.
